The Department has a full-fledged computer lab and a well organized library. The library houses about 10, 000 books and subscribes to a number of national and international research journals. It also conducts a unique student reading programme which facilitates the students of the department access to almost all periodicals every week.
The Departments houses the UGC supported Instrument Maintenance Facility which has been a well equipped equipment repair facility with adequate man power.
The Condensed Matter Physics Lab at the department offers state of the art fully automated electrical conductivity set up. Also available are Transient Plane Source (TPS) for Thermal Conductivity and diffusivity measurement. There is also a thin film coating unit, a cryostat, rotary furnace for glass making, micro sensitive electric balance, plasma polymerising set up, brabender mix for plastic mixing and super conductor preparation setup.
